Janus1894's WSOP Main Event has ended after his pocket J's ran into Pocket A's with all his chips in the middle.
Under the gun and low stacked, Janus1984 pushed all-in preflop after leading out with a raise and then being re-raised from MP. Janus1984 showed JJ, but was going to need to connect with the board when his opponent tabled AA. The board ran out with no improvement for either player and that was the end for Janus.
That's no less than three times today that a Team PokerRoom.com player has been busted by pocket A's.

It seems that pocket aces are destined to be the doom of Team PokerRoom today. J Carlisle was holding KK on a K 5 7 flop, and, even better, got tons of action, getting his 60K+ stack into the middle with an opponent that covered him and who was holding AA. Blank on the turn was welcome news but an A spiking on the river to give his opponent a set of aces wasn't a welcome sight at all.
J Carlisle seemed amazingly upbeat after that terrible turn of events, echoing the sentiment that there wasn't much he could do about it and wouldn't play it any other way. He did say it was time to head back to the hotel to tie one on, a sentiment we can definitely understand and officially endorse in cases like this.

Make sure to check out our great Team PokerRoom’s Puggy82 blog where he talks in great detail about his fantastic experience here in Las Vegas all courtesy of PokerRoom.com.

Here are the chip counts at the dinner break, with ten members of Team PokerRoom still alive and in the mix:
drohse: 210,000
---Grazy---: 110,000
efroni1: 106,000
bigbalu67: 98,000
J Carlisle: 63,800
UpChitCreek: 48,000
TheBrain001: 46,000
Janus1984: 44,700
AREZ_ONE: 30,200
pokerfiah: 21,200
While we did lose Hamburg 10 towards the end of the level, many of the remaining players made big moves during the last level, including efroni1, bigbalu67, and drohse (who pushed his monster stack over the 200K mark).
One Team PokerRoom.com member who has been really cleaning up on Day 2a is Austrian player ---Grazy---. Starting the day on 24k, ---Grazy--- has now chipped up to over 100k during the first two levels and has given himself every chance to make it through to Day 3 and beyond.
Despite his growing stack ---Grazy--- is definitely not getting ahead of himself and he was very cool and calm during the last break. I think he has his eye on a big pay day here at the WSOP and is certainly playing like a man on a mission.
Having played poker for around 8 years, ---Grazy--- is quite experienced and he plays both online with PokerRoom.com and live at his local local Pokerroyale Card Casino in Wiener Neustadt. He said that he loves playing in live events because of “the whole atmosphere, the different types of personalities you meet at the tables, and of course the money”.
Outside poker ---Grazy--- is interested in sports, especially football, and he plays in a football team in the fourth league in Austria. He is also studying computer science at the University of Technology in Graz.

Another Team member down and another tale of pocket aces not holding up. Eole900 was sitting on about 55,000 chips when he looked down to find pocket aces. An opponent raised to 3,000 in front of him and Eole900 re-raised to 9,000, which his opponent called.
The flop came J 4 2, Eole900 bet, his opponent raised, and Eole900 shoved all-in. His opponent called and tabled 44 for a set and a huge lead in the hand, which held up to crack Eole900's pocket aces and send him to the rails.

We're halfway through the third level of the day and the Team is running well at the moment. bigbalu67 just got a nice double-up to push his stack up to around 80,000, and Janus1984 won a big earlier pot as well to nearly double his stack. drohse seems to have added to his monster stack as well, which currently sits around 175,000-180,000.
UpChitCreek looked to be around 50,000 as well, and AREZ_ONE drug a nice pot as we walked by to chip up to about 35,000. On a board of Ad Qc Ac 6d he fired out a big bet, leaving himself very little behind, and his opponent quickly folded. AREZ_ONE flashed Kc Jc as he raked in a nice pot.

Just bumped into living cricket legend Shane Warne (that's a big plaudit for an Englishman) and if the cards hold up like this ball, he's every chance of winning the WSOP Main Event.
Here are the tallies after two levels on Day 2a:
drohse: 150,000
Grazy: 104,000
Eole900: 57,000
J Carlisle: 53,200
bigbalu67: 52,000
Hamburg 10: 46,000
efroni1: 31,000
TheBrain001: 37,400
pokerfiah: 34,000
UpChitCreek: 33,000
janus1984: 31,000
AREZ_ONE: 23,000
We unfortunately lost bezelbot22 at the tail end of the last level. He got all of chips in preflop with AK only to result in a split pot when his opponent held the exact same hand. The very next hand bezelbot22 was dealt pocket queens and got it all-in with the same opponent, who once again held AK. An ace on the flop sealed bezelbot22's fate, though, ending his Main Event run.
AREZ_ONE is still hanging around, chipping up a bit when he picked up some small pots shoving all-in with JJ and AK, as well as another pot when he raised pre-flop with AQ and got two callers, and then shoved on a K high flop when checked to, with both opponents folding.
TheBrain001's stack had dwindled down a good bit but he doubled up (and nearly tripled up) when hi J 5 from the SB hit a J 5 8 flop squarely, and an opponent with QJ looked him up (with the third player folding AJ). TheBrain001's two pair held to give him a double-up and push his stack near 40,000.
Blinds will be 400/800 when players return, with a 100 ante.

With blinds now up to 300/600 with a 75 ante, players are under increasing pressure to make something happen, as they can no longer afford to patiently fold and wait for a huge hand with each orbit taking more than 1,500 chips out of their stacks.
We just lost Selanne86, darth V, and NeilMc, with each meeting their end about midway through level 2. Their exits leave us with 13 Team PokerRoom members still out in the fray slinging chips.
