Please read this brief but important security announcement from the Security Department.
Recently, a number of online commerce related sites have been attacked by fraudsters trying to divulge account-specific information by claiming that personal information needs to be modified. We would just like to reassure EVERYONE that we would never contact you in this fashion.
Firstly, your account information is protected and we would never need to acquire additional information other than the information demanded when you registered your account for real money.
Secondly, we would never contact you in matters concerning your account without addressing you personally.
Thirdly, your account would never be access-limited or shut down based on lack of information. Cash-outs can be delayed (if we need further information or clearance) but the access to your account is not
restricted by the information which you have provided us. We do routinely examine accounts for suspect activities, but always correspond with players during those investigations.
If you should receive a request to change/modify or add any sort of personal information in an e-mail, a PM or in the chat that appears to be from us, be very suspicious. Follow these guidelines!
1. Never divulge your nickname or password to third parties.
2. Always make sure that links that claim to direct you to PokerRoom.com pages actually does so.
3. Never log-in to PokerRoom.com without checking that the address displayed in your browser's address window ALWAYS starts with: http://www.pokerroom.com/ (addresses such as http://pokerroom.bonus.com are NEVER authorized by PokerRoom.com)
You can always contact Customer Support if you feel uncertain about actions required in e-mails and PMs that appear to be sent by us.
