soerenjena Secures a Spot in London - By Seth Shafer
Aug 5, 2008
Saturday saw another Team London online finals get underway at PokerRoom, with yet another crowded field of 60 players all fighting tooth and nail to take down the top prize of a $26,500 prize package to a major live event in London.
As always there were plenty of former Team PokerRoomers in the field, trying hard to win their way back into the good graces of the Team, and guaranteeing themselves the finest treatment while at the event, with no expense spared. Former Team members in action on Saturday included whassup x, WeeFatShug, TheBrain001, Bumi3, nammer4life, and realpokermon.
whassup x was the leader at the first break, with csorgo rising to the top at the second break. Neither of the early leaders would survive to the final three, however, with csorgo finishing in 8th place and whassup x bowing out in 6th.
soerenjena, oldzipfel, and spit...fire were the last three standing, with spit…fire eventually falling in third ($426 + a finals ticket). That left soerenjena and oldzipfel to battle it out for the $26,500 top prize, with soerenjena finally emerging on top, and oldzipfel finishing 2nd ($711 + a ticket).
Congrats to all the players and to soerenjena for taking down one of the highly coveted spots on Team PokerRoom for the Team London event.
