Have You Got What It Takes to Top the Little League? - By Seth Shafer
Aug 13, 2008
If you like money, competition, and poker (and who doesn't, really), PokerRoom as a new promotion that’s right up your alley: the Little League SnG Leaderboard.
The idea is simple: each single short handed $2+0.50 Sit & Go now pays out points based on the order of finish, with the results being tracked on the Leaderboard page. Earn 6 points for finishing 1st, 5 points for finishing 2nd, etc., all the way down to 1 point for finishing 6th. No matter where you finish, you pick up points, so all isn’t for naught even if your aces get cracked on the very first hand and you finish 6th.
Each week the top three players with the most points will win the following cash prizes:
1st - $500
2nd - $300
3rd - $200
In addition to any points you pick up, keep in mind that these are regular Sit & Gos with cash payouts to top finishers, so any points you build up or cash prizes for being a weekly winner are simply gravy on top of your other winnings. For more information and the current standings, check out the Little League page.
In a surprise to no one that follows the various leaderboard promotions, Marky_Crash took down the top spot in the competition during the first week, and is currently leading again, but with two competitors still hanging around in his rearview mirror, keeping things interesting during the second week:
