DoggyP75 is Crowned Race Trophy Champion by Liam Clark

The Race Trophy Final has been run and won and it was Finnish player DoggyP75 who came out on top and took down the massive $285,000 first prize. It was a great effort by DoggyP75, firstly qualifying for Race Trophy Spain via a PokerRoom.com freeroll, before winning in Spain and then putting in a superb effort to win the Final in Austria.

Marky_Crash came in second place, winning himself $100,000 and Masterx7x was third taking home a tidy $50,000. Let's take a quick look back at how the tournament unfolded.

4erkess finishes 6th - $10,000

After raising from SB DoggyP75 pushed all-in from BB. 4erkess called and turned over KK against DoggyP75's AQ. 4erkess was looking good to double up after the flop, but an A on the turn gave DoggyP75 the pot and sent 4erkness to the rail in 6th.

VikoBosse finishes 5th - $20,000

VikoBosse opened the pot with 2k from the button before DoggyP75 pushed all-in from BB . VikoBosse made the call and turned over KdQd against Doggy's Ac 9s. Vikobosse didn't connect on the flop of Jd 4c Td, but did become favourite to take the hand with an open ended straight flush draw. Vikobosse paired his Q on the turn, putting him at 85% to take the hand, but DoggyP75 hit an 8 on the river for the straight and ended VikoBosse Race Trophy journey in 5th spot.

Puggy82 finishes 4th - $35,000

Puggy82 went from chip leader to the rail in the space of three hands when he firstly re-raised Doggyp75 all-in preflop with pocket deuces, but ran into Doggy's pocket Q's. With no help from the board, Puggy82 was crippled and suddenly sitting on the shortest stack.

Two hands later Puggy82 had all his chips in the middle pre-flop with KTs and found a caller in Masterka7x with AQo. Puggy82 was going to need to connect with the board to stay alive in the tournament, but the flop brought no help for Puggy and then an A on the turn sealed his fate.

Masterka7x finishes 3rd - $50,000

DoggyP75 held a 2-1 chip lead over both his opponents in three-handed play, and it wasn't long until he got the chance to knock out his 3rd opponent for the tournament. On a flop of 4c 9c 6h Masterka7x pushed all in with AK and DoggyP75 made a great call with 48o. Masterka7x missed on the turn and another 4 on the river confirmed Masterka7x's exit in 3rd.

Marky_Crash finishes 2nd - $100,000. DoggyP75 is Race Trophy Champion - $285,000

DoggyP75 took a huge chip lead into heads up play, and although Marky_Crash was able to double once, Marky still had the shorter stack when he called all-in with KJ against DoggyP75's Pocket 4's. The board ran out with no improvement for either play and DoggyP75 was crowned Race Trophy Champion.

DoggyP75 was a popular and very deserving winner, knocking out 4 of his five opponents and crippling Puggy82 moments before he was knocked out.
