Sep 8, 2008 attilaattila, VidinhA1, and wild_c4ll Can Start Packing Their Bags Another Saturday, another Double Trouble at PokerRoom that would stamp three more players’ passports with trips to either Niagara Falls, Canada or Melbourne, Australia.

67 players turned out for the latest edition of the Double Trouble online finals with a $15,500 trip package to the WPT Canada event going to the winner and $7,000 trip packages to the PokerNews Cup in Australia awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

With the field trimmed to 8 players there were still some familiar names in the field, including bigbalu67 and billybillard, both veterans of past team PokerRoom live events:

Seat 3: Rozza_mite ($18,095 in chips)
Seat 4: VidinhA1 ($46,963 in chips)
Seat 5: wild_c4ll ($21,676 in chips)
Seat 7: floonaldo ($24,922 in chips)
Seat 8: attilaattila ($50,270 in chips)
Seat 9: billybillard ($15,330 in chips)
Seat 10: playa2207 ($12,536 in chips)

With play down to the bubble and just four players left, here’s how they stacked up:

Seat 4: VidinhA1 ($57,661 in chips)
Seat 5: wild_c4ll ($77,589 in chips)
Seat 8: attilaattila ($47,004 in chips)
Seat 9: billybillard ($18,746 in chips)

billybillard’s quest for a third trip with Team PokerRoom came up a bit short, though, as he finished in 4th when he, attilaattila, and VidinhA1 all found themselves all-in pre-flop. billybillard was holding Ad Kh, VidinhA1 As Js, and attilaattila Qc Qh.

The board ran out Jh 6s 2c 6h 2h and attilaattila’s queens held up to knock out billybillard in 4th and give attilaattila a big lead in three-handed action. With all three remaining players guaranteed a trip of some sort, the battle was to see who’d finish 1st and get the $15,500 trip to Canada.

In the end attilaattila was able to ride that chip lead to the victory, taking down the $15,500 WPT Canada trip package, with wild_c4ll and VidinhA1 each grabbing a $7,000 PokerNews Cup trip.
