Primo552003 wins GT VII
May 3, 2006 When a flopped open-ended straight draw turned into the nut straight the game was over and Primo552003 had beaten CheatBot2k heads-up to claim the Grand Tournament VII title and the first prize of $240,000.753 players battled for two days in the only big-stack tournament of its kind online. The field was packed with profile players, but in the end it was a qualifier who reigned supreme. Three tries at the $112+8 qualifiers was all it took to bag the quarter of a million dollars. Congratulations also to Cucumber9 for taking third and cementing PokerRoom.com's dominance of the final table.
For Team PokerRoom.com, the event was a dismal affair with only Skiboy1 and Musicboy1 carrying the honours taking 54th and 62nd respectively.
