Hadrian666’s Quest for the WSOP Doesn’t Hit a Wall - by Seth Shafer

Jun 10, 2008 Saturday’s WSOP online finals at PokerRoom drew yet another large, tough field, with 38 players duking it out to see who would claim the top prize of a $17,500 prize package to the 2008 WSOP.

The action ground down to its inevitable conclusion, with larkins04 exiting in 5th, and ashtyper finishing in 4th (collecting a ticket to a future finals event.)

Three-handed action saw Gutenburg1 (who represented Team PokerRoom.com at last year’s WSOPE), Hadrian666, and ziko86 battling to see who’d emerge with the top prize when the dust settled.

ziko86 finally bowed out in 3rd, and all that stood between Gutenburg1 and a return trip to Team PokerRoom.com was Hadrian666.

In the end, though, that wall proved too great for Gutenburg1 to scale, with Hadrian666 taking down the $17,500 prize package for first place, and Gutenburg1 settling for a runner-up finish worth $586 + a ticket.

With online finals running at PokerRoom daily until June 15th, there’s still time for you to grab your own spot on Team PokerRoom.com if you haven’t yet, joining the largest group in team history for what’s likely going to be one heck of an amazing good time in Las Vegas.
