The Grand XXVI: DenniFraga Will Not Be Denied - By Seth Shafer

Jul 3, 2008 Sunday saw the finale of the lastest edition of PokerRoom's biggest and boldest tournament -- The Grand. 756 players battled it out over two days of action, with survivors from the first two starting days on Friday and Saturday meeting on Sunday for the final day of action, which would see the last player standing taking home $161,028 for 1st place prize money.

When the dust finally settled and all the chips were stacked in front of one player, DenniFraga had the good fortune to be sitting in that seat taking down first place and a huge payday of $161,028. While it's never fun to finish 2nd, P The great could take some comfort in the fact that it was a runner-up finish worth $98,280, which is more than the vast majority of tournaments pay out for 1st place.

Rounding out the rest of the top ten finishers were:
