attilaattila is still in the hunt here, sitting on about 150,000 chips after two levels of play. He was as high as 200,000 at one point (including taking down a nice pot off Kathy Liebert), but slipped back some towards the end of the level.

We're getting to crunch time here, as just 62 players remain, so we're 17 eliminations away from being in the money.

Blinds will be 3,000/6,000 with a 500 ante when the payers return, so the price of poker is going up, with each orbit eating about 14,000 chips from players stacks. The average stack is currently about 220,000, so attilaattila is in a bit of a awkward spot, as he's not desperately short but he also can't just sit and wait for the money bubble to burst.

Send any extra good thoughts and mojo his way, as we'll likely get very close to the money bubble here in the next level (or possibly early in the level after that), and attilaattila still has some work to do here.

attilaattila is sitting on 120,000 chips after the first level of Day 3, getting the double-up he needed in early action when his pocket tens held up against his opponent's pocket nines. He'd shoved twice before that and picked up the blinds, shoving once with nines and once with AJ.

He said he'd also folded a few small pocket pairs, facing a raise in front of him, looking for a better spot to get his chips in. He's a bit below average stack of 170,000 but isn't forced to make a move when he returns and can wait for a good spot to commit any chips.

Blinds are 2,000/4,000 with a 500 ante when players return. 81 players are still remaining in the field.

Great news here early on Day 3, as attillaattila is making a big move in early action, chipping all the way up to 170,000 chips! He's now above average stack of 150,000 and sitting in much better shape than where he began the day. We'll hopefully have detailed hands when we catch up with him at the first break of the day.

There are currently 89 players left in the field, with the money spots starting at 45th. The tentative plan is to play down to 27 players today, but that could change depending on the pace of eliminations.

We're very close to the start of action here on Day 3, with attilaattila ready to take his 54,000 chips into battle and hopefully make some noise early on here at Niagara Falls. While we're down to just 99 players remaining, there's still quite a way to go until we hit the money at 45th place, and attilaattila starts the day as one of the shorter stacks.

Blinds will be 1,500/3,000 with 400 antes when play starts, and they'll finish out the remaining eighty minutes from the level they started late last night.

The payout details were finally released late last night here at the WPT Canada, and here are the numbers, with all figures in Canadian dollars:

Place - Prize
1 - $1,250,352
2 - $612,427
3 - $319,337
4 - $262,469
5 - $196,851
6 - $153,107
7 - $109,362
8 - $87,490
9 - $69,992
10-18 - $56,868
19-27 - $43,745
28-36 - $30,621
37-45 - $17,498

attillaattila has a ton of work to do here on Day 3 before he can start counting any money, but he was still confident and upbeat last night when the Team grabbed a late dinner after play wrapped up for the day.

He jokingly said that he gave much of his stack away just to make it more challenging today on Day 3, when he'll try to play his way into the last 45 players standing and a big payday here at the WPT North American Poker Championships.

attilaattila managed to survive to Day 3 here at Niagara Falls, but he'll have a lot of work ahead of him when play resumes today at noon.

Of the 99 players remaining in the field, he's 84th in chips, with 54,100. He'll be seated with Robert Cheung (his nemesis from yesterday who took much of his stack late in the day's action) as well as pro Kathy Liebert. He won't be the short stack at his table, though, as one opponent has 39,000 chips.

Here's his full table draw:

Seat 1 - Manny Carpignano - 39,000
Seat 2 - Dominic Staniscia - 164,600
Seat 3 - Greg Hartwick - 63,200
Seat 4 - Robert Richardson - 124,900
Seat 5 - attilaattila - 54,100
Seat 6 - Kathy Liebert - 298,300
Seat 7 - Robert Kucharski - 94,600
Seat 8 - Robert Cheung - 316,100
Seat 9 - Daniel Smith - 60,100

Gavin Smith is leading the field heading into Day 3, with just over 400,000 chips. Blinds will be 1,500/3,000 with a 400 ante when action resumes.

attilaattila hopes to cap off his Day 3 with a big run at the tables.

He was down and nearly out, with just a handful of chips, but attilaattila never gave up, and manage to fight and claw his way back to 54,000 chips, which is where he ended Day 2 at.

While he clearly hoped for a better ending to the day, he managed to survive to Day 3, along with 98 other players. He's going to need to make a move or two early tomorrow as they'll return to blinds of 1,500/3,000 with a 400 ante, but just getting through to Day 3 is a huge accomplishment after losing some big hands late in the day.

Poker can be a fickle game, and attilaattila's up and down day today has proved it. Just a few hours ago he was cruising with over 200,000 and now he's down to about 10,000 chips, clinging on with his fingernails.

We didn't catch the early action but facing a board or Kc 8h 8d 5s, attilaattila made his move and shoved all-in with AKo. His opponent Robert Cheung snap-called with Qc 8s for flopped trips, and attilaattila was left with just a handful of chips.

Win that hand and he'd have been the clear chip leader; lose the hand like he did and he's now on life support with just a few chips.

attilaattila slipped a bit during the last level, but he's sitting on a healthy stack of 150,000 with one level left to play here in Day 2. He lost a big pot right before the break when his aces were cracked but managed to lose the minimum, living on to fight another day.

Average stack is about 110,000 and blinds when the players return will be 1000/2000 with a 300 ante, so he's got a little more than 50 BBs and isn't under any pressure at all to make something happen the last level.

There are 121 players left in the field, with plans to play down to 99 before ending play tonight, so hopefully they'll get to that mark during the next 90 hour level.

If he wins the tournament here attilaattila might just buy his own Hummer limo

More sad news to report here at Niagara Falls, as nammer4life finally exited in about 142nd place after gutting it out with a short stack all day.

With two limpers in front of him and just 25,000 in chips, AJ was more than good enough for nammer4life to shove with. One of the limpers called with QQ and nammer4life couldn't hit an A to stay alive.

He's obviously disappointed to be out but it took him all of three seconds to bounce back and start smiling again, ready to book a flight with Miss nammer4life and get back home to Edmonton. Just another day in the life of a poker pro, in many ways, as far as quickly moving on and turning the page and getting ready for the next hand.
