Her name is Masterka7x, she hails from Lodz in Poland, and she left the male poker players in her wake. The final leg of the Race Trophy has vanished over the horizon in the rear view mirror and we look forward to the big final on 29.11. There the players will battle for a first prize of $285,000. But will the winner be male or female?
This is how they lined up for the Italian Race Trophy in Monza: Masterka7x (Poland), G.Mendez (UK), Ragnash (Australia), ..Mr77.. (Sweden), STAMFORD05 (UK), doubleclubs (Latvia), illusionista (Italy) and DK_DONKEY (Denmark).
The players were hitting the rail as fast the cars were spinning into the gravel on the track, with 2 players busting before the blinds had risen to just 100/200. The pressure in front of the TV cameras was intense.
At the next blind level, Masterka7x took the lead after her pocket Kings held up against G.Mendez’s AJ and she doubled up. This would not be the last fight of the night between these two. This was also the turning point for Masterka7x, who grew in confidence with every passing hand. The next person to take her on was the young doubleclubs from Latvia. He shoved holding A2s, but was called and then crushed by the Polish shop assistant who flipped over pocket 5’s. It was then time for the all important heads-up between Masterka7x (23,400 chips) and G.Mendez (16,600).
After a quiet few hands, G.Mendez put Masterka7x by going all-in with deuces. The Polish Queen called with A7 and the coin flip ensued. It looked good for the young Englishman, with a blank board for the flop and turn. Sadly for him though, the turn brought the 7, to crown Masterka7x as our first female semi-final winner. Congratulations to her and we now look forward to seeing her battle it out with the five other semi-finalists in Vienna. They are 4erkess, DoggyP75, Puggy82, Marky_Crash and VikboBosse.
