Bad news folks: our Serbian has taken a dive already in the fifth hand. PAJAPATAK1 broke a Team record of the worst kind, as we saw him put an end to his WSOPE dreams as early as the fifth hand. He had just folded the fourth hand from the small blind, and got a bit bitter when he saw that the flop would've given him a full house. In the next hand, he looks down on 86 of hearts on the button, and makes a call as the action has been folded up to him. The flop is three big hearts, giving him the flush. His opponent makes a bets and PAJAPATAK1 decides to play it cool by a smooth call. Turn is a rag, and the opponent bets out 1,000. PAJAPATAK1 raises to 4,000 and without blinking the oppononent pushes all-in, just covering PAJAPATAK1. Cornered by his own passive play, he finaly decides to call, and stumbles away from the table when his opponent shows 97 of hearts... ouch!

PAJAPATAK1 in happier times

(Seth here, with one last post much in the vein of Blogmeister G's last missive.)

Not only was this my first WSOP Main Event to cover as a writer/reporter, but it was also my first time to meet everyone involved with Team PokerRoom.com, both players and staff. First times for anything are usually at least a little scary, but I'm happy to say that it was a great experience, all the way around.

While the working hours were brutal at times (with more than a few 16 hour days during all of the crazy Day 1 action), the company was great. Not that players need any more incentive to qualify and play for Team PokerRoom.com at a major event, but I was really impressed the entire time with how far the staff went to take care of players, whether it was arranging dinners or outings to the Grand Canyon, making sure everyone had all of the gear they could possibly wear, or even simpler things such as passing out Combos and Red Bulls during breaks or staying until the wee hours of the morning to see that players caught a cab back to the hotel.

So, one last time, congrats to all of the players that made it to Las Vegas for this year's Main Event, as regardless of where you finished you all were winners just to get as far as you did. And one last round of applause for all of the staff on hand for all of their hard work ensuring that the trip truly was a once in a lifetime event for all the players.

8:00 AM Swedish Time!!

Well, I'm back in the bosom of the family here at PokerRoom.com. And I have to admit, it's good to be back. Vegas was amazing as I hope one day you will experience, but there's no place like home. I would just like to thank everyone who's helped with the Blog these past 3 weeks, especially my partner in crime Seth, and the poor fella who had to hold the fought while I was living it up in Sin City. Thanks, Crispy!

In the meantime, we will set about compiling a gallery of images from the event, which we'll post on the site asap.

Thanks to Team PokerRoom.com for making my job much more interesting and giving us something to cheer for. Well done, Team! Hope to see some of you at the WSOP Europe!

Ok, folks, that's it for now. I'm gonna call it a day for now. I have a plane to catch in an hour or so and will be at PokerRoom.com in next to no time.

Then when I'm back I'll post more about this year's WSOP and all the highlights of the tournament, as well as the fun we had with Team PokerRoom.com.

I hope you've all enjoyed the Blog and hopefully we'll be able to do the same at the WSOP Europe. Don't forget to take part in the qualifiers and we'll see you there!

Jerry Yang is The WSOP 2007 ME Champion, after an exciting hand that almost saw opponent Tuan Lam double up.

Yang raises on the button only for Lam to go all-in. Yang then calls. The cards are shown with Lam having AQd and Yang with 8s.

The flop brings 5Q9 and Lam is in the lead with Qs. The turn brings a 7 and Yang only has 2 outs of an 8 or a 6 on the river... and he gets the 6 for a straight!

He collects $8.25 million with Tuan Lam getting $4,840,981. He's a very humble winner indeed.

Yang busted out 7 out of the 8 final table players to equal Jamie Gold's record.

Tuan Lam is now getting into the flow of things and winning pots. Yang is folding to Lam's raises. Lam still has lots so do as he's not even at the point where he entered the heads-up battle, but he is now playing a different game.

Tuan Lam just doubled after pushing all-in pre-flop. Yang called Lam and the showdown was Lam's 34d vs. Yang's A9o.

The flop brought K84 rainbow to give Lam the pair and the lead. The turn brought 3 and the river was another K to give Lam victory and an extra 10 million chips to his name.
