After 4 hours and 18 minutes of intense play, the $50,000 final of the hugely successful Six Figure Freeroll promo was finally over.

A total of 82 players had won the necessary low buy-in Sit & Go tournaments and earned the right to face the 2006 WSOP Team. And one of them outplayed them all...

The size of the prize pool depended on the team’s WSOP performance – and RiverRicki’s amazing run, finishing top 40, meant that an astounding $50,000 had been poured into the prize pool!

10^th place

Short-stacked Johhnyw pushed all-in for 5,600 with 5-5 and was taken out by noorange’s Q-Q.

9^th place

The very next hand, rollthatdice4, who continuously got caught in raise wars on terrible flops and suddenly sat with only 6,000, joined Johhnyw as his A-3 failed to crack MRBeeks’s A-Q.

8^th place

Two hands later the following happened:

Blinds: 800/1,600
ClaraBarton [A-J] raised to 3,200. Art Perry [10-10] re-raised All-in 35,313.

Folded to noorange who was the CL with 38,000 faced a tough decision but eventually folded his [Q-Q] with the words: “laid down a big one there, Art.”

Next orbit, the new short-stack ClaraBarton busted out after catching Noorange in the cookie jar messing around with [9s-7s] pre-flop. Unfortunately a river 9 overmatched ClaraBarton’s [6-6].

Dogg30 continued to show fearlessness (or splendid reads) throughout the final table. Example:

Blinds: 1,000/2,000
Dogg30 [Jc-Kc] raised to 5,575.Noorange [4-4] called.

Flop: [Kd-Ac-2c]

Dogg30 Bet 6,000, Noorange  raised to 12,000 upon which Dogg30 pushed all-in!
Noorange wisely folded.

A few minutes later, Noorange exited in 7^th after taking two additional hits when both [K-K] vs. [A-10] nor [A-9] vs. [Jc-Qc] failed to come out on top.

6^th place

Art Perry boosted his chip lead further on a board of:

[5d-10d-Qc-6h] when he mini-raised NorCal_Adam’s 4,000 bet to 8,000 holding [10c-9c] against
[10h-As]!

During the same orbit BillyBluff13 was seriously crippled when his 19,000 bet with [K-J] was called by NorCal_Adam’s [5-5] and. BillyBluff13 exited a few hands later.

5^th place

MrBeeks had to settle for 5^th after running into Art Perry’s aces and suddenly they were only four – three qualifiers and one member of the exclusive three-time Team PokerRoom.com club!

Rammer xxx [$4,000] busted in 4^th when he moved all-in with [A-8] against Dogg30’s [A-10].

3^rd place

Blinds:1,500/3,000

Art Perry folded. NorCal_Adam [Qh-9h] raised to 7,500 from the small blind. Dogg30 [6h-6d] pushed all-in from the big blind and NorCal_Adam called with his remaining 22,036.

The board didn’t rescue NorCal_Adam [$5,500] and the Six Figure Freeroll crown came down to a heads-up match between Team PokerRoom.com member Dogg30 and Six Figure qualifier Art Perry.

Early in the match Dogg30 made some ground playing [A-K] to perfection, but then Art Perry pulled back with [A-A]. Back and forth it went until they were more or less even…
